There was a great post on smart news a few days ago talking about Rory McIlroy and putting that everyone should read. His putting advice on improving putting is not about mechanics. It’s about trust and acceptance.
Of course acceptance, for me anyway, may be the most difficult. After one sees putt after putt miss it is difficult to accept that you are not a good putter. And then it is so hard to trust your stroke on the next attempt.
If you are making putts it is easy to accept a miss now and then, but if your are continuing to miss time after time it is a different story. The only way to acceptance is practice, practice, practice. But not just practice.
