The technology to develop a new high tech putting aid was a bit beyond our capabilities. Simply put, to bring our new idea to market, we would need an electrical engineer, a few software engineers and a designer.
We spent some time researching developers and realized that a decision must be made – essentially we needed to take the plunge and put our idea into capable hands. (20/20 hindsight – if it doesn’t feel right it’s probably not right . . .)
We hired a Florida firm that resembled a big white fish with sharp teeth. We’ll call the operator Olive.
We should have known better when Olive needed our deposit ASAP so no one would get ahead of us on their development schedule.
We sent Olive a rough cut design of our vision of the OnePuttPro™, complete with sensors about the size of a pack of cigarettes.
Of course, Olive assured us that he had started work with his engineers and development was underway.
Or so we thought.
Oops! It turns out that Olive did not have any engineers. In fact, Olive didn’t have any employees. The big white fish with sharp teeth was a sham.
Our bad. We had two options. Let go of the dream or regroup and relaunch!
